ABOUT

ARCHITECTURE WITH A SENSE OF PLACE

KOAN Workshop llc is an architecture firm located in Thetford, VT in the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire.

KOAN provides a variety of design services, from schematic design to construction documentation through construction administration. Prior experience in architecturally-driven design-build firms and experience with construction management, gives KOAN a strong foundation in how things come together and the realities of construction, alongside our passion for thoughtful and contextual design. Buildings are a part of our shared landscape, and we take seriously our role in impacting where and how we live.

At KOAN Workshop, we are committed to being responsible stewards of our environment, promoting a holistic approach to sustainability, which includes energy efficiency but also considers comfort, quality and beauty – attributes that lead to lasting and useful buildings. Our interest in the environment also manifests in thoughtful siting and considered relationships between indoor and outdoor spaces.

As part of KOAN Workshop's ongoing commitment to sustainability we are a member of Efficiency Vermont's Efficiency Excellence Network (EEN).
